Bernd Blobel is a globally recognized expert in medical informatics and digital health systems. He served as Head of the Institute for Biometrics and Medical Informatics at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and later led the Health Telematics Project Group at Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS.

He also headed the German National eHealth Competence Center at the University of Regensburg. With more than 600 scientific publications, he has contributed significantly to global digital health standards and interoperability frameworks.
